Get ready to kick off the best reading season of the year! 🎉
Our Summer Reading Program began with a Kickoff Party on Saturday, May 30 and wraps up with a Closing Celebration on Friday, June 26 at Harris Park. 🎈
Sign up in person at the library or online through our website – super easy!
👶👵 All ages welcome – from babies to seniors!
Our goal? Read 30 pages a day – that’s just one picture book or a chapter from your favorite novel. Audiobooks, e-books, and magazines totally count too! 🎧📖
🎁Fun prizes for kids, teens, and adults!
Kids get reading logs, teens & adults get bingo sheets. And guess what?
Kids & teens earn Dolly Dollars just for joining in the fun – visit the library, attend events, complete reading logs or mini-bingo… then spend your Dolly Dollars at our awesome reading prize store! 💵🎁

Wednesdays – 10AM – Preschool Page Turners – Ages 3-5
* Any 18+ year old who was a high school student during the past school year can participate in our Teen programs.

Friday – 6/5 – 10AM – Jerry White Magic Show – “Let’s Make Litter Disappear!”
–Jerry White uses magic to teach kids the importance of keeping the world clean.
Friday – 6/12 – 10AM – Ollie Otter Highway Safety Show – Followed by a Puppet Show
— Ollie Otter comes to the library to talk to kids about seat-belt safety and more.
— Primarily a program for Preschoolers to 4th Graders.
Wednesday – 6-17 – 10AM – Jerry White Magic Show – Encore!
–Jerry White returns for a fun magic show!
Friday – 6/19 – Library Closed
— The library is closed on June 19th in observance of Juneteenth. We open again on Monday, June 22nd at 8am.
Wednesday – 6/24 – 10AM – Benjamin Franklin Visits the Library

Friday – 6/26 – 9AM to 11AM – Closing Celebration at Harris Park
— Pick-up your free book and Summer Reading Program Certificate!

Friday – 6/26 – 10AM – Tom Foolery Juggling and Comedy Show at Harris Park
— During our Closing Celebration, Tom Foolery will be back in Sequatchie County to show off his amazing juggling skills, tell some great jokes, and have some fun.
